AFTERCARE

Routine Check-ups

Following your fitting appointment we schedule your initial routine check-ups. These are an essential  part of  our hearing aid aftercare programme.  It is important to stay proactive in your hearing health by attending regular check-ups in the early stages of adjusting to life with hearing aids.

Follow up Appointments: The first few months.

Regular hearing aid check-ups are an integral part of your hearing health journey.

We schedule follow up appointments 1 week post fitting and then every 2 weeks until you are completely happy and relaxed with your hearing aids. We will be led by you in terms of how many initial follow up appointments you require. Everyone is different. Some people adjust very quickly, others need support for longer. We are here 5 days per week and your appointments will always be with Alan so you can be assured of continuity of care.

Follow up Appointments: The next 2 years and beyond

We then schedule hearing health appointments at approximately 6, 12 & 18 months post-fitting. Again these are included in your purchase and are vital to ensure you are gaining maximum benefit from your hearing aids. We never want your hearing aids to end up in a drawer!!

At 24 months we arrange for you to come in for a full hearing assessment to re-test your hearing and identify if there have been any significant changes in your hearing.

We continue to schedule 6 monthly appointments for as long as you own your hearing aids and are always available if you need us in-between times.

Why Routine Check-ups Matter

Hearing aids play a transformative role in your life, enhancing your ability to connect and communicate. Routine check-ups offer numerous benefits:

  1. Monitoring Hearing: Regular hearing tests help us track your hearing health over time, ensuring we catch any changes or concerns early.
  2. Device Optimisation: We fine-tune your hearing aids during these appointments to ensure they continue to meet your specific needs and preferences.
  3. Preventative Care: Routine check-ups include cleaning and maintenance, preventing issues that may affect your devices’ performance.
  4. Expert Guidance: You’ll receive expert guidance from our highly trained audiologist, Alan Jackson, to address any questions or concerns you may have.
